We Don't Hand Out Answers

We Help Leaders and Teams Find Their Own

We exist to transform how people communicate, lead, and solve problems by equipping them with frameworks they were never taught but desperately need.

Our Belief is Simple
If you want to:
Grow your business
Retain great people
Create breakthrough results
It all starts with communication.
That means:
Asking better questions
Listening with intent
Leading with curiosity
The leaders and teams we work with don’t just grow at work – they become better partners, parents, and people.
We’re not here to fix anyone. We’re here to help them transform into the best version of themselves.
This is not just theory. It’s not inspirational fluff. It’s proven, practical, and personalised work that delivers real results.

      Cam Mays
      Certified Pathfinder Coach

Cam Mays is a Communication and Leadership Coach at The Question First Group, where he helps individuals and teams lead with clarity, communicate with confidence, and grow into their full potential.

His path to coaching runs through more than 20 years as a U.S. Army Infantry officer, where he learned firsthand that the difference between a good leader and a great one rarely comes down to rank or intelligence — it comes down to how well they communicate. Leading diverse teams in complex, high-stakes environments taught him the value of trust, disciplined initiative, and the kind of honest feedback that actually moves people forward. Those principles are the foundation of his coaching today.

Cam holds a master’s degree in Adult Learning and Leadership from Kansas State University and an Applied Critical and Creative Thinking certificate from the University of Foreign Military and Cultural Studies — both of which reinforce his belief that real leadership development is practical, not theoretical.

Through his work at The Question First Group, Cam brings battlefield-tested tools and frameworks to leaders and teams who are ready to stop managing and start truly leading. His coaching is grounded in accountability, honest conversation, and the conviction that most people are far more capable than they realize.

Cam grew up in rural Kentucky and has been married to his wife Sara since 2008. When he’s not working with clients, you’ll find him on the water — recharging as an avid kayak angler.

      Jonny Holsten
      Certified Pathfinder Coach

Jonny Holsten is a partner Pathfinder coach who helps teams get clear on their game plan and sharpen how they show up in the conversations that matter most: with customers, prospects, and each other.

With experience in many industries, Jonny has created his best breakthroughs with teams in financial services, education, and professional services, working with clients ranging from household brands and small businesses alike. His clients come to him when conversations feel inconsistent, unclear, or simply not converting the way they should. He helps them cut through the noise, simplify what they’re trying to say, and select what they actually should say.

Jonny is also the author of Fix Your Broken Sales Calls, a practical guide to building the sales strategy, standards, and skills every team needs to stop leaking revenue and start winning consistently.

Jonny has helped sales teams triple conversion rates in 30 days, scale from a handful of reps to high-performing teams five times the size, and in one case, grow revenue 10x in a single year. But the outcome he’s most proud of is a consistent track record of helping sellers become more confident people who show up differently in every room they walk into.

With years of communication strategy and sales training experience, giving him a rare ability to see both what a team is trying to communicate and why it isn’t landing. Jonny’s coaching style is direct, engaging, and fun. Jonny believes the people who win in sales and communication are the ones who become “absolute freaks” about the small details, the ones almost nobody is paying attention to.

He lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, two kids, two boxer dogs, and is a self described “recovering distance runner” from his days as a collegiate cross country athlete.

      Erin Fults
      Certified Pathfinder Coach

Erin Fults is a Communication Strategist and Certified Partner Coach with The Question First Group, where she helps business leaders and their marketing and sales teams identify and close the gaps holding their business back—whether that’s unclear messaging, inconsistent sales communication, or misalignment between who they say they are and what they’re actually delivering.

Over the last twenty years, she’s started and run multiple service-based businesses. She’s coached individuals and teams globally—from small businesses to $100M brands—and what drives her in all of that work is helping leaders gain the clarity and confidence to communicate more effectively.

That clarity transforms how they lead their team and serve their customers. When someone closes one of those gaps, they don’t just see better results—they gain a new level of confidence. They have a different kind of impact on their customers, their teams, and even their personal relationships.

Erin believes we often think we’re good communicators, but we don’t see the habits and patterns that undermine what we’re trying to achieve.

Her work helps people surface those blind spots and communicate with clarity and directness—not because it’s easier, but because it serves everyone better.

She partnered with The Question First Group because she’s experienced firsthand how transformative great coaching can be—the kind where someone asks the right questions to help you find your own way forward.

Communication skills ripple far beyond the boardroom. When leaders learn to communicate clearly, it changes everything.

Erin lives near Jackson, Mississippi, with her husband and three teenagers, where she enjoys hosting friends and family in her home and cheering on her kids at baseball fields, basketball gyms, and theater performances.
